Sofia Airport

If you are coming just for the weeding, we recommend flying to Sofia Airport, which is the biggest airport in Bulgaria and it is well connected with other cities in Europe. The airport is located 2 hours by car from the wedding venue.

Burgas Airport

Alternatively, you can fly to Burgas Airport, which is located on the Black Sea coast. Many low cost airlines offer flights to this airport during the summer and we suggest this option if you are planning to combine the wedding with a summer vacation on the Black Sea (which we totally recommend).

Rental Car

Rent a car

The wedding venue can be reached only by car, hence we recommend renting a car at the airport upon arrival. All major rental companies operate from and to both airports. Please let us know if you prefer not to rent a car so that we can arrange your transportation with some of the other guests.

Hotel

Accommodation

For the night of the wedding (Saturday), all guests will stay at Midalidare Hotel & Spa (it is the only hotel around). We will book your room once you confirm attendance at the wedding. You can find more information about the hotel in the "Venue" section of the website. If you are arriving the day before (Friday), you can book a hotel in Sofia or Burgas. Alternatively, you can also book a hotel in the city of Stara Zagora (Alex's hometown), which is only 20 minutes from the wedding venue. For hotel recommendations in Stara Zagora, see the "FAQs" section of the website. Unfortunately, staying at Midalidare on Friday night is not possible as the hotel is booked for another wedding.
