Tristyn had just graduated from undergrad and started a summer job working at Under Armour where she met Alex. The two worked together and exchanged messages for weeks making loose plans to watch the movie Shrek. Tristyn grew impatient (as we all know she does) and decided to move the process forward by tracking down the movie. For those of you who didn't know, in 2016 the movie Shrek was not available on any streaming service and weirdly difficult to track down. Tristyn drove across town and $50 and an entire Shrek movie collection later (including the Donkey Christmas Spectacular), the date was set and the rest is history. That Shrek movie collection has officially made 3 moves with Tristyn and Alex and hasn't been watched a single time since that first date. It was worth every cent.

In April 2022, Alex and Tristyn made the 6 hour car ride down to Disney and prepared to run the Disney Springtime Surprise 10k through the parks! After at 2:30am wake up call, they had a blast running 6.2 magical miles together then returned to the hotel for a quick shower and made it Magic Kingdom just after the park opened. Alex pulled Tristyn aside to a park photographer in a little courtyard in front of the castle and just before they finished taking pictures, Alex knelt down and popped the question! Needless to say they were exhausted and the day couldn't have been any more perfect.
