Yes! Kids are more than welcome. Please note that we are not currently planning on having childcare at the wedding and there will be explicit music played at the reception.
Please plan to wear cocktail attire. Note that Oakland does get chilly in the evening and the event will be almost entirely outside. Make sure to bring layers! Also, the ceremony and dinner will be held on a grassy area, so ladies should wear flats, wedges or chunky heels.
No, we will not have any available parking at the venue. There may be parking options nearby, but we encourage guests to consider using Uber/Lyft.
The bride and groom ask that everyone be mindful of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and take reasonable steps to limit the potential for transmission, both while at and en route to our events. The wedding and reception will take place outdoors, where risk of transmission is lower. Nonetheless, we strongly recommend that all guests be vaccinated and boosted. If you have not yet received a vaccine and/or booster shot, you can find a location to get one at https://www.vaccines.gov. Please take a COVID test (available for free at https://www.covid.gov/tests) prior to departure if you are coming from out of town or if you feel any symptoms. Because our guests include children who may be unvaccinated and others who may be immunocompromised, please take an at-home test on the day of the event as an extra precaution. If you will be taking public transport (airplane, train, or BART), please wear a mask while doing so. At the end of the day, our wedding has been over fifteen years in the making. When we look back at this weekend, we want to remember it fondly as the ultimate celebration of our love and the life we have built together--not as the reason all of our loved ones got sick. Please do your part to help us make that a reality.
