When and where is the wedding?

The wedding of Alex McCaffery and Taylor Smith will be held at Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort in Mexico, on February 13th 2027.

When do I need to book accommodations by?

Answer

We encourage guests to book as early as possible, especially for flexibility in what we have held in our room block vs. what you actually want to book. The closer we get to the wedding date, the harder it will be to get any changes confirmed. This hotel does sell out. It is a very popular property. Please book by September 15th 2026. You can book after this date but it will not be included in our discounted room block. Reservations can be held for a low, non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per room, or $50.00 per person if over 3 people per room. Guests will have a final payment due date and can make payments at any time in between or even use Affirm Financing if they need a bit more time beyond the final payment due date.

How do I book my stay?

To attend the wedding, please use the link under the Travel tab for booking. All rooms are all-inclusive with unlimited dining and beverages, activities, entertainment and airport transfers.

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP and book your accommodations by 9/15/2026. Due to our room block and vendor deadlines, any guest who has not RSVP’d by this date will be marked as ‘no.’ We will miss you, but appreciate your understanding as we finalize plans!

Are flights included?

To ensure that you have the most options available, please book your flight separately with an airline of your choice.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

When you book through our room block, regular shared airport (to and from) transfers will be included with an option to upgrade to Private Non-Stop or Luxury transfers. Vouchers for transfers will be emailed to you within 2 weeks prior to travel. Printing these vouchers and keeping them with your travel documents is recommended but you can also keep a copy on your phone.

Do I need a passport? What about a visa?

Answer

Yes, a passport is required and must be valid through at least 6 months after travel (September 2027). Visas are not required for stays under 180 days.

When should I get to the resort?

Answer

Alex & Taylor will be at the resort from 2/10/27-2/15/27. You are welcome (and should!) stay for as long as you want and enjoy your vacation. There is a 3 night minimum with the resort.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is Beach Cocktail, we’re going for an elevated yet relaxed beach vibe. Think cocktail attire with a tropical twist—stylish, breathable, and comfortable for a seaside setting. For women: midi or flowy dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or chic separates. Light fabrics (like linen or chiffon) and bright or neutral tones are perfect. Neither wedding day events will be on the beach so any type of shoe should be OK. For men: button-down shirts or polos, linen or lightweight suits, or a blazer with dress pants or chinos. Linen or dress shorts work too! Ties are optional. Overall: polished but not black-tie—comfortable, airy, and beach-appropriate.

What events are planned?

-Rehearsal Dinner on Friday the 12th for family and the wedding party -Ceremony, Cocktail hour and Reception on Saturday the 13th There will also be a very causal beach/pool day on Sunday the 14th. The bride and groom would like a relaxing, fun day to wind down and enjoy the all inclusive drinks with whoever wants to join!

Are plus ones and children invited?

Please see your save the date or invitation envelopes, names of those invited will be listed. Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort is an adults only resort so kids will be missed but need to sit this one out!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In February, Cancún enjoys warm, sunny, and mostly dry weather. Daytime highs are around 78–82 °F, nights are mild at 70–73 °F, and the sea is a comfortable 78–79 °F for swimming. Rain is rare—only about five days in the month—and humidity is moderate, making it one of the best times to visit.
