Mid-August of 2019, Alex and I went on a trip to Iceland. I had a feeling he'd be popping the question on that vacation, but I also knew he took his sweet old time to do anything! We traveled all around the country, saw the most beautiful sights, hiked the tallest mountains, and all the while I am here waiting on him to get down on one knee. Day 7 of our trip comes along and we have plans to see a famous landmark waterfall. We arrive, park, walk to the fall and walk all around it. I stall to give him a moment to collect himself... and nothing! He tells me there might be something else down this path next to the mountain the initial waterfall was on. I grudgingly agree to walk with him. After a kilometer or so of walking, we enter a small cave to find another waterfall inside of it! There are still a few people around so he quickly showed the ring, asked the question, and I said yes! Leave it to Alex to wait for the very last moment possible to propose!
