This lake near the mall is great to walk around. We really like the barn swallows that come out at dusk.

Nature center with walking trails close to where we live - we love to walk here. A good place for kids (and adults) to learn about local Maryland plants and animals.
Historic district with shops, restaurants, a railroad museum, and a farmers market on Saturday morning. A really great place to park (go to Lot D) and walk around.

One of the best restaurants in town, with excellent cocktails and Greek food. We went here after our courthouse ceremony!

Our second favor bookstore!! They also have a pub upstairs and often pizza on the weekends. Located in Old Ellicott City, so lots of other stuff nearby as well.
