Our love story is a modern day classic beginning with two right-swipes, and a plan to meet at a trendy local pizza joint, Etto. One of us was late, the other, too early - a great sign of balance, if we do say so ourselves. In a crazy twist, one of the first things that we discovered we had in common was that we both has British fathers, and we quickly bonded over things that only children of a British parent can understand (marmite, digestives, etc.). It didn't take long for us to realize that we were each other's perfect match, and we're both forever grateful and eternally lucky that we took a chance that led to being in each other's lives forever.
On a weekend trip to Charleston during Labor Day Weekend last year, we headed out to Sullivan's Island to say hi to some friends before heading to dinner. As we stepped out onto the beach, Alex turned to me and asked to play a game called "Two lies, a truth, and a question." Amused, I played along. It dawned on me what was about to happen when we got to his truth - that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I immediately said yes, cheered on by our friends and onlookers (shoutout to Brian and Maggie for helping to coordinate this amazing moment). We can't wait to share this next chapter in our lives with you all!
