Hello :) For those of you who haven't heard how our love story began: Once upon a time..... we were both at Pete's Brass Rail (a local restaurant & bar) during Thanksgiving Break of 2016, with our own group of friends. Instead of going with a simple "Hi, nice to meet you," Scott wrote on his receipt a much bolder hello with the words, "Katniss Everdeen, I love you" and handed it to Alex - who didn't even get a glimpse of him. After reading those words, Alex had a feeling this guy was worth a shot! We met for coffee at Sideboard a few weeks later and the rest is history. Our proposal is also another one for the books - AND it was all caught on camera! The proposal was long overdo, however, Scott proposed on Monday, September 23, 2019 at St. Isidore School during morning assembly. He hand-picked all her favorite students and gave them each a balloon, which ultimately spelled "MARRY ME!". As the balloons started trickling out, the only thing Alex could think was, "Oh great, who is getting engaged this time?" That is, until she saw Scott walking out after the balloons--her heart dropped into her stomach....And so did his! He got down on one knee in front of 600+ students, and asked her the famous words. The kids were just as excited as we were and will forever refer to this day as: "Marry Me Monday". For those of you who don't know, we were able to get married on our original wedding date, October 11, 2020. The church magically opened two weeks prior to our original date and we threw together an intimate church ceremony with our immediate families and bridal parties. The day was absolutely perfect and it will be something we cherish for years to come! We are so blessed to have such amazing families and friends who shower us with love and we couldn't be more excited to be sharing our reception with all the people we care for the most. We can't wait to see you in June! Until then, cheers to our happily ever after! Alex + Scott
