Despite living in the same freshmen dorm at Stonehill, we didn't meet until our fall semester of sophomore year. Our mutual friend (and now groomsman!), Brett Groody, introduced us at a party. Six years, two apartments and one adorable dog later - we can't wait to say, "I do!"
One cold, snowy Sunday, we bundled up and took Penny for a hike on one of our favorite trails, just like we would any other weekend. When we reached our favorite part of the hike, Alex got down on one knee (despite the snow) and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him. Of course, I said yes!
We can't wait to exchange vows in front of our family and friends at Ocean Edge in June. Cape Cod is a special place for Alex and me. Alex spent his childhood summers in North Falmouth, learning and then teaching sailing and spending time with family and friends. And when I was little, we'd stay at Ocean Edge as a family for a week each summer. I have great memories with my mom at Ocean Edge and can think of the times where we'd peek at wedding ceremonies on the mansion front lawn. Within the first five minutes of touring Ocean Edge, Alex goes, "We're getting married here; this is the place!" Ocean Edge will be a one-stop shop for all of our wedding events. There are a few restaurants, bars and pools on the grounds, all of which are easily accessible via a free shuttle service. Please view the Hotel Information section for room block details and other suggested places to stay. We'll be building out our wedding website with a schedule, map, suggested things to do and more.
