In 2019, Sami and Alex met in class at Iowa State through a mutual friend where they sat on opposite sides of said friend until he stopped showing up to class (thanks Pat). They started chatting through class and on walks home together where Sami developed, what some might call, a crush. She had a date party coming up and wanted to ask Alex to be her date but chickened out every single day for 3 straight weeks. Finally, on the very last day, 2 hours before date submissions were due she asked him, to which Alex responded with "I have to check my schedule". Since Sami did not have his number yet, panic mode set in but thanks to some great friends (you know who you are) they tracked down his number to finally get the answer she was hoping for, yes. Then started study dates, experiencing Alex's skilled dance moves, game days at Iowa State, lake days in Minnesota and much much more. Over 4 years later here we are :) Engaged and SO excited to start this life together. Thank you to all of you who are a huge part of our life.
