Wedding Party

Nicole Wasilus

Bridesmaid

Nicole is Sam's younger yet much more organized, clean, and responsible sister. They are strikingly similar in appearance, both often mistaken for Jennifer Lawrence. Growing up, Nicole looked up to Sam and followed in her footsteps, playing soccer, lacrosse, and majoring in speech pathology. Eventually as Nicole got older she realized most of Sam's life choices were mediocre at best so she forged her own path. They now share a passion for designer dogs, traveling, riding shotgun on their fiancé's companion passes, and planning literally every second of their parent's vacations.

Rachel Spirer

Bridesmaid

Rachel, also known to Alex as Munchkin, is Alex's younger yet more polished sister. They share an interest in hating most things, except Sam, on most days. Alex watched too much local news as a child and therefore spent his childhood making sure she didn't get taken at public places. Rachel and Sam have bonded over the years over trendy restaurants, craft cocktails, and overpriced workout classes. Sam and Alex cherish the moments they spend with Rachel whenever she's able to fit them around her demanding work schedule.

Rob Marcarelli

Groomsman

Rob and Alex were in the same first grade class and have been friends ever since. Rob was a staple at the Spirer house growing up, even once joining in on a family trip to Build-A-Bear. They went their separate ways in college but after graduation were roommates for three years in Washington, D.C. Rob and Alex traveled together across the United States and Europe in their early-twenties until they found more attractive travel companions. They now share a deep passion in finding frugal travel deals, spending hours figuring out the cheapest Verizon wireless plan, melting down over the stock market, and the ongoing efforts to legalize cannabis at the federal level.

Ben Goldstein

Groomsman

Ben and Alex met in stuttering group at the University of Maryland and were roommates for three years in Washington, D.C. Ben was devastated when Alex moved in with Sam, so a year later he moved a floor beneath them. They share a bitter hatred of Maryland basketball coach Mark Turgeon. Their new passion project is creating a GoFundMe to raise the money for Mark Turgeon's buyout. They're hopeful if people will donate millions for a wall they'll donate for a new Maryland basketball coach. Although Alex claims Ben, Sam and Ben actually met first as Ben was Sam's first client in graduate school. Sam and Ben now work together as speech pathologists.

Kolade Falua

Usher

Kolade, known to his college friends as "Koolaid", met Sam playing soccer during their sophomore year at the University of Maryland. When they get together, it's nearly impossible for anyone else to get a word in edgewise. Kolade and Sam grew close in college through "working" setup at the student union, inventing Monday night bar crawls, and running up Kolade's bar tab at the fine drinking establishments of College Park. Since they're now old, they enjoy yoga and hosting each other for dinner parties. Kolade had no choice but to accept Sam's invitation to be an usher since she did find him his wife.

Jeremy Moreland

Usher

Jeremy, also known as The Big Guy or Baba Ghanoush, was Sam's floor mate freshman year in Centerville Hall at the University of Maryland. Sam credits Jeremy for teaching her what Maryland Pride truly means. Throughout the years, they've drank many Natty Boh's at Orioles games, sprinkled Old Bay on just about everything, and unabashedly sing the Maryland fight song at every occasion. Sam and Jeremy share in their overly-competitive nature, especially during meaningless drinking games. Sam knows she can count on Jeremy for a good laugh, a spontaneous trip, and one of a kind dance moves.

Ethan

Ring Bearer

Ethan, also commonly known as Mr. Biscuits, Little Man, Señor, or Dude, is the most colorful member of the wedding party. He is a very social boy whose goal is to receive pets from every wedding guest in attendance. At just seven months old, it's a toss up whether Ethan makes it down the aisle or gets distracted by a leaf, piece of dirt, piece of paper, another dog, wedding guests, loud noises, or bacon. Ethan is currently an amateur fashion designer. He refuses to embrace the fringe trend and will gladly remove any dangling fabric as he sees fit, with or without permission.
