The Parthenon stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park, Nashville's premier urban park. The re-creation of the 42-foot statue Athena is the focus of the Parthenon just as it was in ancient Greece. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals.
The Ryman Auditorium is the most famous former home of the Grand Ole Opry (1943-1974), and the Opry show returns to the historic building a few times throughout the year for Opry Country Classics and Opry at the Ryman. The Ryman is also host to numerous concerts and events throughout the year.
The country's largest food hall debuted in Nashville back in 2021 with 30+ new dining and drinking options at the new mixed-use development on Broadway. There is fantastic shopping, dining and more and you can try many Nashville staples such as Prince's Hot Chicken, Hattie B's Hot Chicken, Pharmacy Burger, Coco's Fresh Italian and more!
In 1912, in a copper kettle at the Standard Candy Company at Clark & First Avenue in Nashville, TN, America's first combination candy bar was invented, the Goo Goo Cluster, which is a tasty combination of nuts, caramel, nougat, and milk chocolate in a deliciously rounded cluster. Check out their location, which is a gift shop, ice cream parlor and more!
Hands down - Alex's favorite "honky tonk!" This bar features great country music and calls itself a 'rowdy country bar'. The bands change every few hours from 10:30am to 1am spread out over 4 stages. Make sure that you take time to check out the roof bar!
This area of town near Belmont University has some great local places and Alex and Ryan's favorite donuts - Five Daughters Bakery! Also check out Edley's BBQ for a great lunch or Frothy Monkey for coffee and a baked good. Don't forget to shop at Reese Witherspoon's shop, Draper James! You'll also find some great Nashville murals!
