Same way any great love story starts...we met at a bar. It was the summer before our sophomore year of college and Ryan had just transferred to the University of Texas where, unbeknownst to them, they had mutual friends. Not long after getting to the bar, Alex walked up to Ryan and introduced himself on the dance floor. What started as a chance interaction turned into an endless exchange of stories and laughter. Just like that, our girls'/boys' nights turned into hours of conversation with someone we'd just met. We left the bar that night with nothing but each other's snapchats (haha). Little did we know, we had just met the person we were going to spend the rest of our lives with.

On November 19th, 2023 Alex proposed in the beautiful Red Rocks of Sedona, Arizona. Around evening time that day, a golf cart picked them up to take them to what Ryan thought was dinner. As if they were paid actors, a group of Javelinas started running past where we'd turn for dinner. Naturally, we followed. We proceeded to drive up to these big marquee letters covered in roses that read "Marry Me." Among lots of tears, Alex led Ryan to "the spot" where he got down on one knee and proposed.
