Chicago O'Hare Int'l Airport (ORD) or Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ)

The Wedding Venue is Eagle Ridge Resort located 15 miles west of Galena, IL and 30 miles from the Mississippi River crossing to Dubuque, Iowa. Chicago-O'Hare International Airport (ORD) will have the best flight options. O'Hare is a 2-2.5 hour drive to Eagle Ridge Resort and offers many rental car options. The drive from O-Hare is easy, take I-90 west out of Chicago. Near Belvidere/Rockford head west on Highway 20 to Galena. The exit for the resort is on the right off of HWY 20 (well marked). Just follow signs to the resort and hotel for check-in. Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ) is a 30 minute drive from Eagle Ridge Resort. Flights are somewhat limited, but very convenient. Exit airport to HWY 61N. Turn right on Hwy 20 East. cross the Mississippi River and go through town of Galena. Eagle Ridge is about 15 miles east of Galena on Hwy 20. Turn left into Eagle Ridge Resort. Chicago-Miday (Southwest) is also an option but adds about 30 minutes drive time to the resort.

Eagle Ridge Resort has a lodge with a variety of rooms and suites, as well as town homes, villas, and houses available to rent through the resort. We have a block of rooms and rental units, and anyone booking with the Vance/Laymon wedding will be offered discounted rates on lodge rooms, 1-3 bedroom villas, and houses with up to 5 bedrooms. To secure the wedding discount, call the reservations office at 800-892-2269 and advise you are with the Vance/Laymon wedding or Group # 69B213. Reservations made online WILL NOT receive a discount. If you find a particular unit you'd like to book online, just provide the unit number to reservations when you call and they will be able to accomodate! Everyone staying with the Resort will have full access to resort amenities including pools, fitness center, and 24/7 resort shuttle service. The resort is a world-class destination, home to three 18-hole courses, a completely renovated Spa, and a beautiful resort complex that overlooks Lake Galena set in the beautiful countryside of the driftless region of the upper midwest. Houses and townhomes are also available to rent through VRBO and AirBnB both in the Galena Territory and the Galena Downtown areas.
