We met in the summer of 2016 once Sarah transferred to our gym's second location in Miramar after starting work in Del Mar. Alex was a member at the Miramar location, and even though we apparently "met" and were introduced a few times prior to that through the gym's mutual events where both locations would get together (although Sarah has zero recollection...oops), it wasn't until we both were members at Miramar that we met for real.

The gym brought us together and it is still one of the passions that we share, as we both now coach at our CrossFit gym and work as nutrition coaches. When we aren't at the gym, we LOVE food, hiking (Alex more than me), anything active/outside, naps, and of course doing allllll the dog parent things with Mazie. Alex proposed in September 2020 after about four years of dating when we flew outside of Sacramento to pick up Mazie from the breeder! It was a whirlwind, amazing day that we got to celebrate with close family and friends once we flew home. Life is BUSY but we support each other in everything we do and can both function on minimal sleep :)
