Will the wedding and reception be happening at different locations?

Answer

Nope! Homestead on the Roof is a cozy space with both indoor and outdoor areas. It will serve as both our location for the ceremony and the reception.

Question

What if I don't want to stay at the Hyatt House? Can I book any hotels elsewhere?

Answer

Of course! Chicago has you covered for hotels and Airbnb options. However, you will be responsible for your own transportation to Homestead on the Roof if you aren't staying at Hyatt House in West Loop.

Will there be Pizza?

Answer

Yes. But also other foods. Homestead on the Roof has delicious food, and we'll be bringing in treats from a few of our favorite spots. Expect to go home well fed.

Is there a Registry I can contribute to? I want to buy you two something nice!

Answer

Thank you so much for your generosity! We don't have a registry, as we're already fully moved into our current apartment and don't have much need for new stuff. The best gift you'll bring us is your presence. Nothing more is necessary! If a monetary gift would bring you joy, consider contributing to our honeymoon fund!

What do I wear?

Answer

Within some limits, whatever you'd like! Think garden formal. Our "colors" are neutrals plus shades of green and navy blue. General vibe is secret garden. Part of the event will be outside but covered. It is October in Chicago so temperatures can be a bit all over the place. Ideally not t shirts and shorts but nice jeans and a button down are cool.
