Despite growing up only 15 minutes from one another, it took moving to Huntsville for college for us to meet. We were both assigned to the same orientation group, Group Monte Sano, named after one of Huntsville’s local landmarks. After sharing a dance at a freshman-year party, Alexandria developed a crush on Trey, though she didn’t make it known until junior year when she asked to borrow his hat for a Riley Green concert. He said yes, the two started talking, he asked her on a date, and the rest is history. We knew we loved each other after discovering that we had both been praying the same prayer: that God would shape us into the people worthy of the spouses we hoped for. As our relationship grew, we became best friends and realized pretty early on that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Through seasons of change, from college students to young adults, our love for one another and our faith in God have continued to grow. His grace has taught us compassion, patience, and selflessness, while continually shaping us into the people He created us to be. On March 14, 2026, Trey proposed at Monte Sano, bringing our story full circle. To make the day even more special, he flew in Alexandria’s childhood best friend, Anna Collins, to surprise her and capture the moment. We are beyond excited to begin this next chapter together and are grateful for the ways God will continue to use our marriage to sanctify our hearts and make us more like Christ.
