We're getting married!

High school sweethearts? Well, not quite. According to Stephan, Alex was obsessed with him in high school. Of course, Alex denies this, although it's no secret that she had a big crush on him. The two casually talked on and off throughout high school and college, but it was sporadic. It wasn't until 2018 that the couple began forming a serious friendship. The tables turned and Stephan became obsessed with Alex--a claim that cannot be denied. For the next couple years, many hours were spent texting and seeing each other on weekends, but let's just face it—Stephan was in the friend zone. Alex wouldn't even let Stephan sit on the same couch as her. He was sent home weekend after weekend hoping for a kiss that Alex never gave him, although she'd secretly spend her nights thinking about it, too. She believed her true love would chase her through the friend zone relentlessly, and—thankfully--he did. Once at a party in 2019, Stephan asked Alex to make it official. She turned him down so she could focus on getting her CPA, which she'd begin studying for soon. Both of them were crushed, but the two never lost touch. As soon as she finished her final CPA exam, she contacted Stephan to see him. The two reunited immediately. After years of the cat and mouse game, the spark could not be denied and their dating journey began. Fast forward to 2022. Alex was mad at Stephan as they headed on their way to a baseball game at the new Beloit stadium because Alex didn't want to be the driver or get stuck throwing out the first pitch, a prize that Stephan supposedly won at a school raffle. Little did she know, he was too nervous to drive because he was about to propose in front of a crowd. After Alex reluctantly (and pitifully) threw the first pitch, Stephan got down on one knee and proposed on the microphone for the whole stadium to hear. It was an incredible surprise and one of their favorite days so far. There's no doubt in either of their minds that they were made for each other. Alex loves how safe Stephan makes her feel, how he makes her laugh every day, how he showers her with love and affection, how he never says no to any of her crazy ideas, and how much he loves her. Stephan loves how caring Alex is, how motivated she is, her sense of humor, her cooking skills, and how loved she makes him feel. The two spend their time together making even the smallest moments into adventures, so there's never a dull moment. Together, they love traveling, singing and dancing around the house, trying new foods, cooking, spending summers outside, making each other laugh, and spending lazy times cuddling on the couch. No matter what they're doing, they know that the best memories and adventures are the ones they create together. They can't wait to take this next step into their journey to forever together. Although they'll be legally married on July 11, 2024, they are waiting to have their ceremony and reception with you there. They're so excited to share and celebrate their love with you on July 20!
