Let’s take a trip down memory lane. Ruben and I started dating back in November 2013. Our relationship started off through messaging and constant replies. In October, I had given Ruben my number and he asked me if I wanted to go to a concert. Of course I said yes! Mind you, this concert would be a blind date!! We met on November 8, 2013. The concert was one for the books! The weekend rolls around, and on Monday Novemeber 11, 2013 Ruben tells me he called out of work because he was sick. Me being a friendly and caring person, I asked him if he wanted me to bring him soup to feel better. He said yes and when I got there I realized he wasn’t sick haha! We spent the whole day getting to know each other and NEVER spent a week apart! From that day forward we continued to date and get to know one another. On December 8, 2013 Ruben asked me to be his girlfriend at Los Nietos Park at around 11:38pm (I checked my phone after he asked). We’ve done so much together over the past 8 years. The best memories we share are going camping in Sequoia unpacking and going to Las Vegas the following day, going to endless concerts, eating sushi, meeting each other’s families, celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, moving out, getting our baby boy Cudi! Fast forward to 2021, when I least expected it Ruben proposed to me on March 7th. Ruben and I are literally each other’s half. The funniest moments we share are times when we laugh at one another’s laugh which makes us laugh more, both of us coming home with sushi for eachother to share on $5 Wednesdays at Sprouts, and knowing what each other would say in a situation. As we come together on this new journey as one, we do this with honor and excitement! We cannot wait for all of the new memories we will make throughout our marriage! Here’s to new beginnings!
