According to Facebook (and Nick's impeccable memory) we first met our freshmen year in college at a music festival in Chicago with a group of friends. Fast forward 10 years later and our relationship officially began when the two of us both swiped right and met for coffee at Kaldi's on Demun. The date was perfectly planned with coffee and good conversation leading to dinner down the road at Sasha's Wine Bar. Every date from then on out was so well orchestrated Alex's friends called Nick the "smooth operator." We went to a yoga classes and brunch, visited the Garden Glow at the Botanical Gardens, shared tacos and wine at the movies, had a private tour of the Art Museum (thanks Aunt Patty!), lots of home cooked dinners and soooo many hikes! Looking back, there's no way we we weren't going to fall in love. Five years later, our love is so much more than a series of perfect dates. Yes, those sweet and thoughtful moments sealed the deal early on but the hard ones are the ones that built a relationship that made us realize our love can stand the test of time. We've experienced the joys and trials of owning a home, dipped our toes into "parenting" with Moxie, became coworkers in the midst of a pandemic, and have pushed each other to become the best versions of ourselves. Where we are today wouldn't be possible without our friends and family. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
