Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Alexandria Simonton and Matthew Meeks
Welcome to the Hostess City! Looking for the best sights, eats, and bites? We’ve rounded up some of Alexandria and Matthew’s favorite spots to help you experience Savannah the way we love it.

The Laundry Diner

1401 Paulsen Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Fun Fact: Laundry Diner is where we had our engagement photos taken! Even though it hasn’t been open long, it quickly became one of our favorite spots. Grab a stack of waffles and a milkshake while you’re there! Pro tip: Tuesday–Friday is happy hour from 4–7 pm—$1 waffles! And Alexandria highly recommends the pimento plate.

Collins Quarter at Forsyth

621 Drayton Street, Savannah, GA 31401

One of our favorite spots for brunch! Grab a seat outside for a perfect view of the Forsyth Fountain and soak up the vibes. Don’t miss the avocado smash—it’s a total must-try!

Java Burrito Company

420 East Broughton Street, Savannah, GA 31401

Our go-to spot for both coffee and burritos—you heard that right! It’s the perfect place to grab breakfast, lunch, or just a little pick-me-up. Whether you’re team latte or team tacos, you’ll find something to love here. And if you’re a matcha fan, don’t miss Matthew’s favorite drink—the Blue Majik. It’s as fun as it sounds!

Doki Doki Ice Creamery

143 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401

One of our favorite spots to satisfy a sweet tooth! From creamy soft serve to fun, colorful treats, it’s the perfect stop for a little dessert break. Trust us—you’ll want to try a little bit of everything!

Little James

110 Ann Street, Savannah, GA 31401

One of Alexandria’s favorite coffee spots in town! Grab a latte and take a leisurely stroll down Broughton Street—there are plenty of charming shops and stops to explore along the way.

Plant Riverside District

1036 West River Street, Savannah, GA 31401

There’s so much to explore in this lively entertainment district! From quirky shops to live music and tasty little bites, there’s something for everyone. Take a stroll and maybe even catch the sunset!

Lulu's Chocolate Bar

42 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Savannah, GA 31401

We both have a serious soft spot for dessert, and this spot has become one of our favorite date night traditions. We always order the Flourless Chocolate Torte and ask for extra raspberries on top—it’s our little ritual and honestly one of our happiest shared indulgences.

Forsyth Park

1 W Gaston Street, South Historic District, GA 31401

If you’re in the mood to feel like you’ve stepped into a romance novel, this is the spot. Wander through the paths, stop by the fountain, breathe in the fragrance garden, and take a few photos while you’re at it. When you’re done, Collin’s Quarter is just a short walk away and perfect for brunch.

Tybee Island

Tybee Island, GA

Just a quick drive away, Tybee is perfect for soaking up the sights, hunting for seashells, and enjoying some fresh ocean air. One of Alexandria and Matthew’s favorite things to do together, it’s the perfect little getaway to add some adventure to your visit!
