Alex and Matt met the way all great love stories begin—at a bar, Mike Duffy’s in Richmond Heights, to be exact. Alex was a regular with her teacher friends, unwinding after long school days during their beloved “Teacher Wednesdays,” while Matt lived just across the street and felt right at home at Duffy’s. While there was an immediate spark, Alex and Matt both took their time letting it unfold. Then came New Year’s Day: Alex walked into Duffy’s with friends, Matt was there… and promptly left.
