Our story began as frequent 2 minute interactions while we were working. He would deliver catering to my school and I would receive our meals. Geovanni began being friendly with me and I was oblivious. He once asked "Why are you always wearing the mask?" In my head all I could think was I don't know you sir. I eventually caught on when he began to compliment my hair. As spring turned to summer, I started getting excited when it was time to get the food. I would go out of my way to be the one to answer the door and if it was not him, I would be disappointed. Unbeknownst to me, Geovanni was volunteering to deliver to the school. Eventually Geovanni asked my name. I responded "Alexandria and you cannot forget it because that's the name of the city" He smiled and laughed. I asked his name and that was it, our time was up. I had to go back into school. The next morning, I arrived at school a few minutes early. With courage from my dear friend Snow, I wrote my name and number on a piece of paper. I made up my mind, if he comes today, I'm going to tell him to take me out. I was thrilled to see that he was the one to pull up that morning. He asked "Do you want to grab a drink?" and I smiled, said yes, and pulled the paper from my pocket. He was surprised but at that moment everything felt meant to be.
