The ceremony and reception will be held at The Arbory. Located at 2219 W Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60612
We invite you to dress up with us! Formal evening attire is encouraged. Think elegant dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and suits with ties. We kindly ask that guests avoid casual attire like jeans, so the overall look feels more elevated.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm. We recommend arriving at least 20-30 minutes prior. Anyone arriving after 5pm, will be asked to wait in the cocktail reception area until the ceremony is finished.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
We always say the more the more the merrier, however, due to our venue size we are only able to accommodate those on the invitation.
You bet! The bar is open all night, so grab a drink, cheers to the happy couple, and get on the dance floor!
A party bus will be transporting guests from the Emily Hotel and Hyatt house only. The shuttles will arrive at the Hyatt House at 4:00pm and leave at 4:10pm. The shuttle will arrive at The Emily Hotel at 4:20pm and leave at 4:30pm. VERY IMPORTANT: These will be the only shuttle times to take guests to the venue. In the event the shuttle transportation is missed, there are ubers, lyfts, and taxis to take you to the venue. If you are not staying at the hotel blocks, but are close feel free to walk over to either hotel and jump on the party bus. At the end of night, the party bus will start running at 9:30pm and will continue until the end of the wedding. Guest drop off is at the Emily Hotel and Hyatt House only.
While The Arbory does not have a dedicated parking lot, there is ample free street parking along Grand Ave and within the neighborhood. We have secured a private lot a short walk away for added ease with parking. The lot is located at Mitchell Elementary School (2233 W Ohio), with the entrance to the lot located directly behind the school on Race Street.
You can expect a joyful, love-filled celebration, like any other wedding! The ceremony and reception will feel familiar, but there will be non-traditional touches that reflect us. If you come ready to support, celebrate, and have a great time, you’ll fit right in.
