Lex and Alec met in college in 2018. After months of asking a mutual friend to set them up and seeing nothing come from it, Alec decided to take matters into his own hands. Lex was walking home from sorority chapter one night and heard someone yell over a balcony. To her surprise, she saw Alec leaning over and yelling down at her. He asked her on a date on the spot and while she agreed to a date in the near future, she lied about her plans that night and nearly ran home to hide the redness on her face. Alec and Lex saw each other on and off for the next two years. They both felt a deep connection they simply could not shake, but they knew they had a lot of growing up left to do. Ultimately, they decided to go their separate ways. After a few years and many lessons Alec and Lex learned individually, Alec reached back out to Lex to reconnect. Despite the many ways the two had changed, it felt like no time had passed at all when they finally caught up in person. It was very quickly clear to both Alec and Lex that they never wanted to go their separate ways again. After just over a year of being back together, Alec gathered their family and friends in West Palm Beach to ask Lex to marry him.
