Why Mexico?!
Answer
We are fortunate to have many important people in our lives, but you all live in different states. Travel, lodging, food, etc., are all expensive. Being at an all-inclusive resort allowed us to be with all of you in a way that seemed financially responsible and the most fun! We hope this wedding is a celebration of our love and a weekend to spend quality time together.

How do I book my flight and stay?
Answer
Our travel coordinator, Sherry Jenkins, will be the one to help you coordinate all of your flights and travel for this wedding (this service is at no cost to you). You may opt to book your own flight without Sherry's help (for those watching flight deals throughout the next couple of months or those people using points or credits you have), or if you find a flight at the price you'd like, and want Sherry to book it, give her a call, and she can help facilitate the rest!

How long are we staying in Mexico?

Completely up to you! As bride and groom, we will be at the resort from Wednesday, May 1st-Wednesday, May 8th (7 nights). Our wedding parties will mostly stay from Wednesday, May 1st to Monday, May 6th (5 nights). Please speak to the travel agent to determine the best options and timeframe for you!

What is included at this resort?
Answer
At this all-inclusive resort, all of your food and alcohol are included! You will only find extra charges if you seek upgrades or experiences beyond what the resort offers for free. For example, you will pay for the spa if wanting a massage; you will pay for bottle service if wanting an entire bottle of alcohol vs. using the bars to serve you individual drinks, if wanting a private beach cabana, etc.

Are children invited?
Answer
Of course! Bring your little one's if you would like; however, keep in mind the expenses (flight and room charge) that may come with bringing them. Please talk to the travel agent for more details while making your decision. Either way, we love you and your little ones; however, this may be a great time for you to have a romantic getaway. Please specify if you are bringing any little ones within your RSVP response.

Will there be plans for us guests the entire time?
Answer
We will be having a small event Friday night so all of our guests may settle in and meet each other. Saturday is the big day, enjoy your free morning until our evening wedding. The rest of your stay at the resort is at your leisure, enjoy, explore, and have fun! Remember, Sunday is Cinco De Mayo! There will be plenty of celebration activities throughout the day at the resort!

What can we expect financially to go on this vacation?
Answer
Pricing is obviously going to be influenced by your flight choices and itinerary. Sherry will be working with you to help secure flights at prices you are comfortable with. Pricing for your stay is available to be discussed with Sherry. Please RSVP as soon as possible with the link for Sherry's services, you will be asked to place a $50 deposit per person. Additional financial information is below: Below is an idea of the current pricing if you have two people staying in your room: 3-night stay: $631 per person (flight will need to be added), 4-night stay: $833 per person (flight will need to be added), 5-night stay: $1,035 per person (flight will need to be added). Additional pricing is available for those wanting to stay longer, those with children, or those who will have more tenants in a single room. 50% of your personal cost will be due December 8th, 2023, with the remaining balance on February 1st, 2024.

What is appropriate attire for the wedding?

If I book travel insurance can this be applied to my flight?
Answer
Yes; if you book your flight through Sherry and opt for travel insurance, your flight can be included. If you are using Sherry's services but find a flight you are interested in on your own, you can send this information to her so she can book it for you if you'd like it included in your insurance coverage.

Misc. advice from people who have stayed at the resort:
Answer
Pool floaties and inner tubes are allowed in the pools; bring one and lounge in the water! Pro-tip, bring an insulated tumbler to use outside in the heat, ask for any cold cocktails or frozen drinks to be put in there. If you're staying for a while and big on watching TV at night, you can bring your firestick and use it on your room's TV. Bring lots of sunscreen and any medications you may need; they are expensive in gift shops at the resort compared to prices here.

Is it safe in Cancun?
Answer
We are all aware of the recent events in Mexico. The hotel security has reassured me things are safe at the resort, and none of their guests are currently being negatively affected. The hotel will provide complimentary and safe transportation for our guests to and from the airport. We obviously recommend that our guests stay within the resort during their vacation and enjoy everything it offers!
