How far away is the Venue?

Answer

It is about 2 hours away from almost everyone; Indianapolis, Lexington, and Union Country. We tried to find a central location where everyone could meet in the middle!

Will I need a hotel?

Answer

We highly recommend booking a hotel room for our wedding! It's a 2-hour drive, and we want everyone to have fun and stay safe. To make things easier, we’ve reserved a block of rooms at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Madison Historic Eagle Cotton Mill. Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel, so no need to worry about drinking and driving. The Madison Trolley will begin picking up guests at 2 PM and will run loops until midnight. What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be a black-tie optional affair. For men, this means either a tuxedo or a black suit and tie. For women, we suggest floor-length or tea-length gowns. If you need to rent a tux, Geno's Formal Affair is offering a 25% discount for our guests. They have locations in Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati. Just mention you're part of the "Quinn Ballard/Wil Jackson" Wedding when you visit.

Is the Wedding Kid-Free?

Yes, we have chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We kindly ask that you make arrangements for your little ones so that you can fully enjoy the evening with us. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

What time should I arrive to the Ceremony?

Answer

The Ceremony begins at 3pm at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. We anticipate the ceremony to be around 45 min. You may choose to drive to the church directly, or you may take the provided shuttle from the hotel (Fairfield Inn) or from the Venue if you are staying on property. The shuttle will start at 2pm with the last loop being at 2:45pm

Can I bring a guest/+1's not listed on the invitation?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, their name or " & Guest" will be listed on the invitation.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outside?

Answer

The Ceremony will be held indoors at a church 4 min form the venue. Then, weather permitting (above 45 and not raining), cocktail hour will be held outside. Please pay attention to the forecast and dress accordingly if the temperature is on the lower side! (There will be heaters and an outdoor fireplace). There is a plan for cocktail hour to be held inside the mansion, should the need arise. The reception and afterparty will be held inside the main ballroom.

Can I take Pictures?

Answer

We are having an "Unplugged" Ceremony and ask that everyone to turn their phones off for the ceremony. We will have 2 videographer's and a photographer onsite to capture all the special moments! PLEASE do not take any pictures on your phone during the ceremony. However, once cocktail hour beings please take all the pictures, all the videos, all the things!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

One word- YES! Of course we will have an open bar(This is a Ballard/Jackson affair after all)! We will have beer, wine, seltzer, vodka, bourbon, tequila and all the mixers.

What should I do if I cant make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can't make it we completely understand and will not be offended. Please just be sure to indicate your regrets on the RSVP by the deadline, so we can let our wedding planner and catering company know!
