Getting There

Airports: La Rochelle (1.5 hours from Les Portes-en-Ré by car) Bordeaux (2.5 hours from Les Portes-en-Ré by car) Paris (6 hours from Les Portes-en-Ré by car) For those coming from abroad, we recommend flying to Paris and taking a train to La Rochelle. Once in La Rochelle, you can make your way to Les Portes-en-Ré by car, taxi or bus. Note that Google may recommend taking the boat to St. Martin, we do not recommend this option. We recommend using one the following taxi companies: - Allo Taxi Île de Ré 06 85 62 68 24 - Ré Taxi Bus 06 47 16 55 44 - Taxi Olivier ABC Île-de-Ré 06 09 34 00 49 The bus terminal is located right outside of the train station in La Rochelle. The bus departures are coordinated with the train schedule so there should not be any wait. The company is TransDev and you can buy a ticket on the bus directly. Take line number 3 and confirm that the bus goes to Les Portes-en-Ré.

Travel Note

Getting around

Most people on the island travel by bicycle, and we highly recommend that you rent one to go around the island during your stay. Many houses and hotels provide bicycles so reach out in advance to confirm whether you will be provided bicycles. If you need to rent bicycles, you can rent through Cycland and get a 10% discount by booking after April 1st and give the name of our wedding (Flo and Alex).
