Where do we park?

Answer

Parking will be available just down the road from the Windward house. Our friends, the Scofield's, have offered to let us park on their lawn. Parking Address: 36 Nauset Rd, Orleans, MA 02653 We do encourage carpooling or Uber to limit the number of cars. See the photo at the top of this page for directions!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Garden Party/Business Casual! We will be having our ceremony and reception in the backyard so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes for walking on grass. Temperatures typically range from 60 to 75 degrees in June. It can get chilly at night so pack some layers for the trip!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all guests a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that only children of the wedding party attend. Thanks!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels and ceremony?

We have a space for you to park right near the ceremony. We suggest carpool or Uber if you choose not to drive!

Our wedding will be at the Tenney's Windward Cottage at 1 Priscilla Rd, Orleans, MA 02653. The ceremony will be held at the end of the lawn and the reception will be held under the tent.

What is the Windward Cottage?

Answer

The Windward cottage is a house that has been in the Tenney family for over 100 years. Alexandra's great, great grandfather (Arthur A. Tenney) finished building the cottage in 1918. Most of the house is still in its original form! The Tenney's have so many wonderful memories spending the summer at the Windward cottage! Fun fact: that’s where Arthur, the Tenney’s dog, got his name!

Is the wedding an open bar?

Yes! We will be serving wine, beer, and hard seltzers! There will also be nonalcoholic options such as water and soda.
