Situated in the mountains at over 6000 ft in elevation rather than by the coast, San Miguel enjoys warm daytime temperatures in the mid-70s, but can cool down to the low 60s at night. Bring warm layers and don't forget to where sunscreen during the day!
San Miguel is best explored on foot, so make sure you bring comfortable shoes for walking and for the wedding. Most of the hot spots you'll be exploring should be relatively walkable from wherever you're staying. Taxis are readily available throughout the town. Please note that drivers only accept pesos, so be sure to have some on hand, as credit cards are not accepted. You’ll find numerous ATMs around town where you can easily withdraw pesos. Uber is another convenient option for getting around. We’ve always enjoyed walking as our primary mode of transportation—it's the perfect way to take in the charm and beauty of San Miguel.
