Officiant
As you listen to the wedding ceremony you'll know Mycah is Wyatt's brother by his voice and mannerisms, but these two are very different in most other ways. Mycah is artistic while Wyatt is analytical; Mycah watches theatre while Wyatt watches sports; Mycah is gluten-free while Wyatt loves pasta and beer. Just to name a few! Despite their differences, the unspoken brotherly respect between these two is special. Mycah is a great husband and father of two, and Wyatt considers him a role model in this way, among many others (including patience in which they are also polar opposites). As Wyatt's brother, Mycah is the technical Best Man, but is taking on duties of Officiant given his extensive experience! The fact that he's officiated several other friends' and families' weddings just speaks to his thoughtfulness, peaceful presence, and true belief in lifelong love. Allie and Wyatt could not imagine being married by anyone else and are so honored Mycah is willing to stand with them on their special day.

Iona and Allie have been friends since freshman year of high school where they would attend football games every Friday night in the Fall. They then worked their high school jobs together at Ben & Jerry’s and at one time were banned from working the same shifts, for reasons obvious to everyone else but them. Iona was by Allie’s side for the most fun moments, and some of the toughest moments, even into college after Iona transferred to Umass because she missed her best friends too much. Iona is now a passionate ESL teacher who stands up for some of the kids who need it most, giving her time to mentor students of color and make her community better and more equitable for every member. Since Allie’s known her, Iona has always put others first and been there for her friends, at times even to her own detriment. Not only has Iona been a loyal best friend of Allie’s all these years, she’s also been the tried and true drinking partner.

Max and Wyatt met in 2014 when Wyatt moved into 351 Broadway in Southie. After spending a year waiting in lines to get into the bars on a Friday night, Max and Wyatt broke free and moved to Somerville until Max moved to NYC in 2017. These years in Somerville were filled with Bay State pig roasts, Lamplighter beers, nights at the Burren and Pepe Boca dinners. Max and Wyatt spent countless nights on the back porch of their apartment playing song roulette on Spotify - today Wyatt credits his love for Lane 8 and music taste to Max. Max married his wife Aleah in 2021 and the two now live in NYC with their dog Violet - Wyatt and Allie have been lucky to have these two in their lives, and have started an annual winter vacation that they hope to continue for many years to come! #Goose

Lily and Allie have known each other from their weirdest and most awkward days in middle school, where typical sleepover activities included dress up photo shoots and constant giggles until the late hours of the morning. They thankfully grew out of that stage with their interests moving onto fancy dinner reservations and high end clubs (once they were of age, of course). After an epic vacation to Miami in 2012, Lily moved to Florida full time where she and her dog Cooper have been generous enough to host several of Allie and friends’ most wild and fun trips to South Beach. Although they live at opposite ends of the East Coast, and despite the countless friends Lily has accumulated along the way, Lily and Allie remain lifelong best friends. Another best friend will be added to the group in December when Lily welcomes her baby girl. The next trip to visit Lily will be a little different, but will nevertheless be filled with just a many giggles!

Wyatt first met Nick in 2014, when Nick was visiting his brother Max in their Southie apartment and crashing on the couch for a couple weeks. Months later, Nick would move to Somerville with Wyatt, his brother Max and their friend Alfredo. Nick and Wyatt lived together until 2018 and grew up together in the formative post-college years. Together they threw some memorable parties at the Bay State apartment including ice luges, mason jars of hippie lettuce and vegan egg nog. Nick is now living in New York, slays the guitar, traveling the globe and is writing some incredible pieces at https://nickwidmer.substack.com/ - please take some time to look at his work! #Goose

Melanie and Allie’s friendship goes all the way back to Red Team 5 at Barnstable Middle School. Some of the most cherished memories are from high school sleepovers in Melanie’s basement where they chatted with boys online and drank Smirnoff ices for the first time. Other, more appropriate, memories include those on the lacrosse team which Allie joined only because Melanie played. Melanie and Allie will share more best friend memories this year as brides together! Allie is a bridesmaid at Melanie’s wedding in August 2023 and they’ve been lucky to share this life event together while exchanging wedding planning tips and tricks along the way. Melanie is an aspiring life coach who can regularly be found in the garden with her dog Bodhi, teaching yoga at breweries, or giving optimistic and mindful life advice which is always welcomed and appreciated by those around her. She is also always the one to suggest fun activities like a girls pizza and wine night, afternoon meetups, or other events and ideas to keep us wholesome.
Defacto Best Man
Ironically, Parker has a longer friendship with Allie than he does with Wyatt after the two met at TD Bank in 2014 and shared a love of the Counting Crows. Wyatt first met Parker later that year at a work event in Worcester, and they quickly bonded over being #1 in the Bank's credit training class that they attended, while Allie was #2. Parker and Wyatt have worked closely together since then and became the best of friends through their love of craft beer, golfing, quoting entire scenes of The Office form memory and losing obscure 5-team parlays on an NFL Sunday. Parker recently moved to the North Shore of MA, which he has been trying to recruit Wyatt and Allie to when they move out of Boston. As unlikely as that is; regardless of the distance, Parker is a lifelong friend that Wyatt would travel any where to spend time with. He is also an eligible bachelor, slide into the DMs @Phwilliams on Instagram for more details.

After being part of the private school nemesis friend group in 8th grade, Sarah became Allie’s best friend freshman year of high school in history class. They were inseparable for many years after that, beaching it, going out to parties, and hanging out with boys, turning into weekend visits during college years. Sarah and Allie now share a love for wine and yoga, of which Sarah has taught Allie nearly everything she knows on both topics. Sarah’s and Allie’s best friendship will soon turn into official sisterhood after Sarah and Allie’s brother Peter got engaged in 2023! Sarah and Peter live a short drive from Allie and Wyatt and the four of them hangout more than Allie likes to admit.

Allie started this section with "When Peter and Wyatt hangout, the Bud Lights don’t stand a chance." and it couldn't be more accurate. Although Allie tried to convince Wyatt that her younger brother wasn't cool when he moved to Boston, she couldn't stop Wyatt and Pete from becoming good friends over the years. To-date, Wyatt has not won a game of corn hole against Pete nor does he believe he ever will. Regardless, Pete welcomed Wyatt into the family with open arms along with his older brother Mikey. After a quick stint in Albany, Wyatt and Allie are lucky to have Pete and his fiancé Sarah living back in Boston (although Saratoga trips will still happen). They've never said no to chance for an ice cold beer at the 9's with a side of XL gold fever wings.

Shaelyn is Allie’s longest best friend boasting 26 years of friendship as of 2023! These two have done everything together including the same 3 high school sports, choosing Umass for college, and being roommates for the first years of post-grad city life in Boston. They even shared the female “Most Athletic” award in middle school together. Shaelyn currently lives on Cape Cod with her husband Miah and their two sons, the oldest of which (Henry), with his mom, attended the closing of Allie and Wyatt’s first home purchase in 2021. As a successful real estate agent, Shaelyn has been generous with her time and expertise while Allie and Wyatt live in the city, however she does not shy away from reminding them how good life will be when they move to the Cape full time.
