Historic Hotel Bethlehem

We will most likely not have a block at this hotel but it is worth looking into if you love history and hospitality. In 1741, Moravian Brethren built Bethlehem’s first house on the site of what is now the Historic Hotel Bethlehem, PA. Then, in 1794, the Moravians, famous for their hospitality, built what became the Eagle Hotel. The hotel has hosted world leaders and renowned celebrities over the years, including Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy, the 14th Dalai Lama, Amelia Earhart, Harry Connick, Jr., and many more. The town’s history as a colonial religious settlement to an industrial icon is chronicled in eight George Gray murals that have hung in the hotel since 1937. And located in the heart of Historic Moravian Bethlehem, a National Historic Landmark District, the Historic Hotel Bethlehem is walking distance to museums, historic sites, and boutique shops. After a public voting process, USA Today named Historic Hotel Bethlehem the Best Historic Hotel/Resort in America for the fourth consecutive year (2020-2024).

Allentown Bethlehem Easton Airport (ABE)

This is our local airport in the Lehigh Valley. I would HIGHLY recommend flying in and out of this airport since it is 15 minutes from the hotels, church and venue. A lot of times there is a layover in Philly or Newark that is actually a shuttle bussing you to ABE for the second leg. This ends up making the more expensive flight worth it since you will not need to uber from Newark and bus or uber from Philly.

This is the airport usually with the best pricing and most of the time direct. But the Newark airport is 75 minutes from the Lehigh Valley so you will want to coordinate with family and friends to split the cost of a ride!

Philadelphia Airport

The Philly airport is about 90 minutes from the Lehigh Valley. This would be a great airport to fly in and out of if you want to stay through the weekend and explore Philadelphia. (If you want any recommendations in Philly, Ally would LOVE to give you some!!)

Shuttle for Courtyard and Fairfield Inn Guests

We’ve arranged a bus to transport out-of-town guests staying at either The Courtyard or Fairfield hotels to the church. The pick-up time will be 2:20 PM at the Fairfield Inn (Courtyard is within walking distance), and it will be first come, first served. After the ceremony, the same bus will take guests to the reception, leaving around 4:20 PM. At the end of the evening, the bus will return hotel guests to the Fairfield Inn at 10:15 PM. We hope this makes your day a little easier and more enjoyable!
