Question

How will I get up and down the mountain?

Answer

Around 2 pm, we will take a gondula lift up the mountain (link). As the last lift departs at 5:00 PM, most of us will walk back down to the valley together after the celebration. We are planning to begin the descent around midnight in small groups. The walk to the valley station takes approximately 45–60 minutes and is considered easy, following a wide paved/gravel mountain road. That said, mountain temperatures can get quite chilly at night, so please bring a warm jacket or extra layer to wear later in the evening. We also recommend appropriate footwear for walking downhill at night and a few guests bringing headlamps or flashlights for the group.  You are welcome to park your car at the valley station. Taxis can also be called from there if needed. If you would like, you are welcome to bring a change of clothes for the walk down. These can be stored at the cabin in lockers during the celebration. Lastly, while most of us will have to walk (don’t worry, it’ll be fun!), we understand that some people or physically unable to make the descent. If that’s the case, please check “I can’t make the track”.
