Anand Karaj is the name of the Sikh wedding ceremony. It symbolizes two souls becoming one. The bride holds the groom's shawl as they circle the holy book 4 times.
After the bride walks the aisle to meet the groom, there is typically a short mass followed by the exchange of vows and rings.
You are welcome to head home or to other accommodations to relax and change into your party outfit. If you'd like to explore Hamilton a bit, there are some suggestions under the "Things To Do" tab. There are also arrangements for some snacks in the party room at 85 Robinson Street, Hamilton from 1:30-3:30pm.
Children are welcome to all events, however we encourage an adults only environment so the significance of our ceremonies can be appreciated. If you decide bring your little ones, please be mindful of the important moments such as both ceremonies, first dance and speeches. Please also take into account the music volume at the reception.
Appropriate attire for each ceremony is outlined in the 'schedule' tab. If you have any questions please contact the bride or groom - we would love to answer any questions you may have! Our reception is "Hollywood Glam" themed so feel free to dress accordingly if you would like (no pressure!) but please do not wear white.
