To closets airport is Faro (FAO). Other option is to fly to Lisbon (LIS) and either rent a car, take the train to Ferreiras-Albufeira, or take the bus to Albufeira.

We recommend renting a car for getting around, especially if you plan to stay in the Algarve/Portugal for a few days. There are several car rental companies available, such as Sixt or Auto Europe.
