How They Met

5/5/2015

Alex and Paul didn't meet in your most romantic setting. They met at a fraternity party at Bradley University, study day eve, May 5th, 2015. Neither Alex nor Paul expected to meet one another that night, however they believe that greater powers brought them together that day. Neither one was looking for a relationship at the time, however when Alex met Paul, all bets were off. Alex remembers telling a friend of hers that "she would date that boy one day". Little did she know she would end up marrying for him. They were immediately drawn to each other from the moment they laid eyes on each other, and have been inseparable ever since.

The first "I Love You"

6/29/15

Just a few months into dating, Alex and Paul both knew this wasn't just another relationship. This was a perfect match. Paul took Alex to one of her favorite places; The Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. After a wonderful day, Paul asked Alex how she really felt about him. She told him that she really liked him. He told her that he wanted to know the real truth, and he didn't want her to be afraid to tell him anything and everything. After a few minutes of light hearted interrogation and teasing, Alex finally gave in. She said "I love you, Paul Steven Theodosis. And I don't care who knows it". Paul kissed her and told her that he had been waiting for what seemed like forever to hear her say that and that He loved her too.

The Proposal

6/16/18

Finally, years after dating and amazing partnership, Paul took Alex to his families condo in Florida for her birthday. He took her to Disney World for the first time. Everything was perfect. On 6/16/2018, he took Alex to their private section of beach for a day of fun in the sun, just the two of them. The weather was perfect, the waves were nonexistent and the sun was high in the sky. That night, he told Alex he wanted to take her to a nice place on the pier for dinner to complete a lovely day. He told her he wanted to walk along the beach to get there because the pier was not that far. Reluctantly, in her long dress and sandals, Alex said OK and they began walking along the beach at sunset. Paul waited until they got to the waters edge, on a private section of the beach where no one else was, got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. The rest is history...
