While both working at Toast in Boston, Alexandra and Noah met in early 2020 just as Covid was emerging. Since an in-person date was out of the question during lockdown, their first date was over Zoom. While they chatted, a few Caggiano family members made an appearance in the background, hoping to spy on how the date was going. It was going amazingly well! With Alex falling for Noah's infectious laugh and Noah loving Alex's easygoing, fun energy. The first in-person date was at Alex's apartment in Brookline, since going out was still very much not an option due to Covid. What was originally supposed to be a casual date over take-out pizza turned into three full days of hanging out, laughing and falling in love! Each of them could only dream of the amazing adventures yet to unfold. They have been inseparable since!
Alexandra and Noah planned their Italy hiking trip back in Spring 2023. Little did Alex know that right from the start, Noah had been planning to propose on this trip. After arriving in the Italian Alps, they were greeted by a night of thunderstorms, a first day of foggy rain and a daunting forecast of a rainy cloudy week. They did their best to stay positive and decided to get up the next morning at sunrise, hoping for a window of clear weather. When they awoke the morning of September 14th and saw a glimmer of sunshine, they raced out the door and headed for the mountain tops! After taking the cable car to it's highest point, they turned to start the loop hike at Alpe di Suisi and realized they were the first people on the trail that day. After a few times asking Alex to stop for a photo, (Alex is known for her summit fever and not wanting to stop once she starts hiking) Noah finally convinced her to take a break at a hut along the trail. He started setting-up the camera to take some self-timer shots and was getting all the possible angles looking over the incredible Dolomites scenery. After taking pictures from every angle possible, Alex's patience was running thin as she was very ready to get back on the trail. Noah asked to take one more picture, but this time he set up the camera to take a video instead of a photo. Just as Alex realized the camera wasn't taking a picture, Noah dropped down to one knee and asked for Alex's hand in marriage! Alexandra's complete shock was all caught on film and the two enjoy rewatching the incredibly romantic moment in the mountains. They had the whole rest of the day to hike around the Dolomites, eat mountaintop pizza and drink Aperol spritz around the Italian villages. It could not have been a more perfect day!
We kindly request guests, that on the wedding day your attire is of the autumn color palette! (Greens, yellows, oranges, reds, neutral colors). Black suits are fine, as well as white shirts/khakis for anyone not wearing a dress, but we do encourage to have fun and embrace the color palette!
