Our Love Story

First comes Kohls, then comes marriage

Nick and I met at Kohls about 8 years ago now. We both remember the first time we saw each other and let's just say the spark was lit. We can actually thank my mom for our first date because she accidentally messed up dinner (the pepper shaker broke open and it spilled all over the beautiful skillet she was making) and she had mentioned to Nick what happened and so he used that as an opportunity to go get dinner. We have been together now for almost 8 years and have shared so many special moments together and have truly created a partnership within each other. We thank you all for playing a special role in our story and we can not wait to CELEBRATE! We love you!

Our Proposal

November 21, 2018

I strongly remember one Sunday morning about 5 years ago Nick waking up in the morning telling me that he had a dream about how he was going to propose. We both knew for a long time that we would get married when the time was right. Throughout our relationship, after that moment, I would always ask if he intended to propose the same way, and he would always just smile. If you know me, you know i am not easily surprised but let me just say I had NO IDEA this was coming. I should preface this story by telling you a Christmas tradition we started our first year of dating. We always had a tree to decorate but none of our own decorations to decorate it with so we said that every year we would pick a special day and go pick out and ornament together so by the time grew old our tree would be filled with special memories from each year we were together. We love Christmas, and every year when we set up our Christmas tree we listen to his parents old Christmas music CD and we make egg nog and its just our favorite night. Well that year we chose to set up the tree the night before Thanksgiving because I had the day off of work and he took a half day. We had a "date day" where we went and got sushi (our favorite) and then we would go home and decorate the tree. Well the Christmas music was blaring and we were drinking the egg nog and we had just finished filling the tree with decorations when he turned to me saying that he had, "already picked out the ornament for this year." Thats when he handed me a box. Just so we're clear, I still thought nothing of it. Well when I opened the box there was an ornament that had our names, the date and it said, "We're Engaged!" Well by the time I looked up from the ornament he was down on one knee and IT HAPPENED! He also had his phone set up to record so now every year we set up our tree added a new tradition to re-watch our proposal video so we would always remember that special moment!

For all the days along the way
