If your day on the water calls for a bit more flare - and a certified Captain - head to Cruisin' Tikis (also located at The Boatyard). You can reserve one of their 6-seater vessels, for a two-hour "Fun Cruise" that's BYO and sure to please.
Nestled in the heart of Beach Haven, Bay Village & Schooner's Wharf are home to many popular shops & eateries, including Breezin' Up, yuleTIDE, Country Kettle Fudge & the Ship Bottom Brewery. They're also a stone's throw away from other island-favorite activities: Settler's Mill Mini Golf and Fantasy Island.
Ship Bottom Brewery is a craft brewery and taproom located in Bay Village - boasting a variety of delicious beer and seltzers on tap (as well as cans to-go). Grab a flight, snag a high-top table and enjoy the laid back atmosphere! The brewery doesn't serve food, but outside noshes are welcome.
An LBI institution, Fantasy Island is your one-stop shop for rides, carnival games, claw machines and just good old-fashioned fun. It's also the site of many happy memories for the Braun Family. "Burn some quarters" here folks, it'll make you feel like a kid again!
If you're planning on packing light, Farias has all of your beach rental needs covered - including bikes, surfboards, umbrellas and even surreys! Rentals can be hourly, daily or weekly, and they have locations across LBI (though their flagship store is in Ship Bottom). To make your weekend even easier, they'll drop-off and pick-up your gear for a nominal fee.
Joe Pop's has been open for nearly 100 years, and it's easy to see why! This late night staple is a great place for an easy bite, a Tiki drink (or two) and a few hours of rocking out to the Jersey Shore's best cover bands.
You just can't ignore the rally cry of "Party Hearty at Nardi's!" Another favorite LBI watering hole, Nardi's is known for its adult beverages and lively music scene - but perhaps its greatest claim to fame is the pink Party Bus, which safely drops patrons home after a night of Jersey Shore fun.
Do yourself a favor and stop by the Delaware Avenue Oyster House! This quaint restaurant is always packed with islanders looking for cold drinks, fresh oysters and delicious casual fare...and if you decide to leave the beach a bit early, their daily Happy Hour can't be beat.
The Chicken or the Egg - or Chegg, as it's affectionally called - is a local eatery with a menu that's "big, beautiful and guaranteed to please." Satisfying at any time of day or night, Chegg has everything you could want - from breakfast platters and burgers to wraps, fries and 20 different wing sauces. They also have a killer late night menu, if you're in the mood for a bedtime snack!
Stefano's is a very popular (and very delicious!) Italian BYOB, with indoor/outdoor seating and an ice cream shop next door. If this sounds up your alley, you can make a reservation on Open Table closer to the start of the season.
The Parker's Garage team wants their restaurant to serve as a throwback to Beach Haven's golden era - with fantastic seafood, amazing views & strong ties to the community. Please give Parker's a ring (and/or make a reservation) before heading over, as it's occasionally booked for other weddings & large events.
When Ferrara's says they have the "best jelly donut on the planet", you should take them at their word! Locals line up at this bakery for their donuts, bagels, cakes and stuffed breads. If you're looking for a quick bite before hitting the sand - or a little something to satisfy your sweet tooth - Ferrara's should most certainly be on the list!
Located on the Northern tip of LBI, Barnegat Lighthouse is the island's most recognizable landmark. Take a leisurely stroll around Barnegat Lighthouse State Park - or, if you're feeling adventurous, climb the 217 steps to the Lighthouse's tippy top!
Mud City Crab House, "where life is about good times and blue claw crabs," is a hopping seafood spot right off the mainland. Boasting an outdoor patio & an on-site fish market, it's a prime destination after a morning on Barnegat Bay.
