Alexandra and Karter shared their first words in one of the many small rooms that made up an expansive brick building in Wellsboro PA. Here, chemicals gurgled in breakers and the soft turning of a page occasionally broke the silence of concentration. Pre-formative minds spent hours of effort each day perfecting their abilities and preparing for the future. The building bustled with these individuals, with bells tolling to signify their only breaks. To be more blunt, Alexandra and Karter first met when they were children… in middle school. All this to say, from these humble beginnings, a life together blossomed. After meeting in class while in middle school, they began to date October 26th, 2015. And then they continued to date... and date… and date. They grew up together in Wellsboro, developing from children in middle school, to adults ready to pursue higher education together. Both Alexandra and Karter chased their professional dreams while supporting their goal of a life together. Alexandra attended Slippery Rock University to study Exercise Science. Here she met life long friends, lived on her own for the first time, and developed a deep respect for chiropractic. Karter went to Pennsylvania State University, where he studied Wildlife Biology. Here he also lived on his own for the first time, found a love of birds, and understood his passion for knowledge. Together during their undergraduate degrees, the two of them discovered how to live as adults. Most importantly, they learned they wanted to spend adult life together. This brought them to move in together, while pursuing graduate level education. This is where we find Alexandra and Karter now. They live in Marietta GA, where Alexandra is studying to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, and Karter is completing his master’s degree in wildlife biology. They have been living here for a year and a half and have cultivated a life that is endearing to them both. Their home has many plants, two orange cats named Goose and Sparrow, and an axolotl, which really brings the place together. If you walked by their apartment, you’d be equally likely to hear a yoga video, the cats begging for food, them calling their friends to play games, or a really intense fight scene from an anime they are watching. While living together for the first time in Marietta, it was clear to them both, they wished to spend the rest of their lives together. While Alexandra waited patiently for some time, Karter formulated a way to propose. On October 26th, 2025, exactly 10 years after they first started dating… Karter asked Alexandra to marry him. It was here at the base of a waterfall, with family and a hired photographer… at a different waterfall, that Alexandra said yes. This is a small example of the many stories the two of them have created together, and will continue to make together, as they spend the rest of their lives as a married couple.
