Our love story began with the Ferguson’s moving to Davie Florida on August 8th, 2016. Florida high school swim season is in the Fall so before they even moved, Justin’s mom, Karen reached out to the swim coach who put them in contact with Ally’s mom, Michele. We met at Justin's first team practice that week so we’ve been together literally from his first days in Florida. We continued as teammates, classmates, friends and “mostly friendly” competitors through high school, even being swim team co-captains in Fall 2018. Then in January, 2019, after finally admitting our feelings, we started dating. That led to prom, college campus visits, high school graduation and the big transition from home to college, but always together. We both decided to attend UCF and four years later had survived Covid separations, online classes, major changes, housing moves, various jobs and trips. We graduated in May 2023: Ally with degree in Entertainment Management and Justin with an Aerospace Engineering degree. We are also the proud parents of Calypso, our six-year-old tortoiseshell cat Justin rescued and now we both spoil. As our wedding date approaches, we are settling into a new house and into our second year of “adult” jobs: Ally at UCF in HR for International Students and Justin as an engineer for a subcontractor for NASA’s Artemis program at Kennedy Space Center. We are incredibly excited to take this next step in our lives.
