Al was at her cabin, on a family vacation, when she first received a message on Instagram from Jeremy. He reached out to her because he saw her tagged in photos and thought she was cute. Al said to her family "Does anyone know a Jeremy Widmar?". Nick Ducaj, Amanda's now husband said he knew him from school and they used to play hockey together. The first thing Jeremy and Al talked about was DQ. DQ has been a big part of their relationship. Al continued to talk to him throughout her whole vacation. Jeremy eventually asked Al on a date. About two weeks later they went on their first date, On their first date they went to Rum River North County Park right by St. Francis Highschool where Al went to school. They went for a walk in the park and talked. There was a grad party at the park that day and we joked about crashing the party for free food, we didn't. After our walk, of course we needed to go to DQ. We drove back to the park and ate our ice cream in the car. A week later, on their third date, Jeremy asked Al to be his girlfriend at Minnehaha Falls. Al knew very early on Jeremy was the one, she told her friend Sydney that she would say yes to marrying Jeremy after only about 3 months of dating. After only a year and 2 months of dating, Jeremy took Al back to Minnehaha to ask her to marry him. When you know you just know. Of course she said yes. Now they are getting married on New Years Eve, we can't wait!
