We met in February of 2024 when mutual friends of ours set us up on a double date. We had previously both attended their wedding the year prior in July but didn’t know each other at that time. We went out to lunch on a Sunday and then afterwards went into an antique store and did a scavenger hunt, because we both have a love for anything old and antique. Our work schedules made it rather difficult for us to spend much time together in the beginning and only we able to meet up in person a couple of times in the coming months. Our second date was at Manchester State Park, where we will be getting married in September! In April we were officially dating and doing the semi-long distance living an hour and twenty minutes away from each other and only having one shared day off. We started doing the long haul of driving to see each other every Sunday, swapping who would drive to who each weekend. We went to the beach, took a mini road trips, went on a train ride, went to the lake, attended many weddings and in October we even flew out to Pennsylvania for a friend’s wedding, and Alex got to meet a lot of James’ friends out there. At the end of December, we got engaged and started the wedding planning process. We are so excited to be celebrating our marriage with our closest friends and family and those who have poured into our lives! - Alex and James
