Downtown Summerlin is a walkable urban center with a mix of shops, restaurants, indoor and outdoor venues, and events, including the Las Vegas Ballpark and City National Arena, practice facility of the NHL Vegas Golden Knights.
Home of the Las Vegas Aviators Minor League team and future home of the Las Vegas A's! We enjoy going to the minor league games for a cheap night out. The baseball park is the nicest minor league park in the United States, and has some amazing food. We recommend the burnt ends burrito from BBQ Mexicana!
If you want to escape the city, hiking in Mount Charleston is the way to go! It is free compared to Red Rock Canyon. It's also 10-15 degrees cooler up on the mountain compared to the valley! We recommend you have a rental car to get to the trails rather than an Uber/Lyft.
Needless to say, if you're coming to Vegas and you want the Las Vegas Experience, you have to go to the Strip!
The original Las Vegas Strip aka Fremont Street! It has more of an old school Vegas vibe with less crowds and cheaper gambling/food options.
