We met where God often does His best work — at church. In March 2023, Allie stood on stage at Northstar Church as part of a mission team heading to Miami. Iaises, sitting in the congregation, couldn’t help but notice her. “She’s super small,” he thought. But beyond her stature, he saw something greater — a quiet kindness and sweetness that stood out in every interaction. For a while, Allie hadn’t noticed him… until Halloween. Dressed as an Amazon delivery driver (yes, really), Iaises finally caught her attention. She remembers thinking he was hilarious — someone who could light up a room without trying too hard. From that moment on, their conversations grew deeper, and so did their connection. One of their favorite memories? Sipping coffee together in Piedmont Park after visiting the “Discovering Jesus” exhibit in Atlanta — a peaceful moment that reflected both their love for each other and their shared faith. In each other, we found what we had been praying for in a partner. We knew this was it — not just because of the fun, laughter, and shared love of sports, food, and The Chosen, but because our relationship always pointed back to Christ. Jesus isn’t just a part of our story — He’s the very foundation of it. On June 1, 2025, surrounded by family and close friends at Allie’s parents’ house, Iaises proposed. As Allie walked down a garden path lined with our loved ones — each handing her a rose — she arrived in the backyard where Iaises waited, ready to begin forever. We’re engaged! And we’re so excited to keep building a life together with faith, joy, and a whole lot of love.
