Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code is black-tie optional. Men are not required to wear a tux, but we do ask that they wear suits. For women, a cocktail dress or full-length dresses are preferred.

Are kids welcome?

We ask that you please leave your kiddos at home for our special day.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4pm. Please come 30 minutes early to find a seat and get settled so that we may start on time.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Two hotel blocks are available: TownePlace Suites Minneapolis Downtown/North Loop and Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown. Rooms with the group rate ($179 per night at TownePlace and $189 per night at Embassy) are available Wednesday 9/18 through Friday 9/20. Cut off date for reservations is Sunday 8/18. Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please do not bring a date unless it has already been cleared with the bride or groom beforehand. It should be indicated when you RSVP if we are anticipating you bringing a guest. Space and seating is limited at the venue.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Valet parking is available on-site and there is some available street parking surrounding the Van Dusen Mansion.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP on the wedding website by August 19th.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

As you RSVP for the event there is an option to disclose food allergies and alert us to necessary food accommodations. Please use this so the catering team can plan accordingly.
