We're getting married!

A partnership neither of them could have dreamed up. In 2016 when he first arrived in New York, she happened to be flying back from Spain with a long layover in Istanbul, Türkiye. Little did they know, they'd cross paths 5 years later by a stroke of kismet, a fortunate twist of fate that required many events to unfold beforehand. It's the summer of 2016, and he just had $600 to his name while she had spent all her money in Spain. He first needed to learn English, she was now speaking Spanglish. He pursued his Master's in Engineering, and she flew off to Australia to further her "Master's in world travel". Fast forward to the winter of 2020, she just moved back to NYC after retreating Upstate amidst COVID's lockdown to start working again in SoHo, just as his Uber career took its final ride. He had received his Master's degree, started working at NJ's Elia Greek restaurant, and discovered his passion for online sales, beginning with Nikes. One Thursday evening, a simple swipe right and it's a match! She thinks "He's cute and responds so fast - I must meet him." He's captivated by her blue eyes, thinking, "Her eyes are the most beautiful I've ever seen; I must meet her." After a handful of messages he hadn't asked yet for a date. She couldn't wait any longer and asked, "So, when are we going to meet?". He was swift and decisive, "How about tomorrow?". And so, the courting began. "Our bond has strengthened every day since we first met, and we knew it was undeniably special from the start. We're excited to start this next chapter of our lives together and can't wait to say "I do"!" - Alex & Emin
