Alex and Dylan met in 2017 at their medical school orientation in Philadelphia. Dylan noticed Alex right away. They became friends throughout their first year of med school, and spent lots of time in the library (Dylan more than Alex) and exploring Philly with friends. Dylan planned a ski trip to Vermont for their med school class, and Alex was impressed by Dylan's skiing abilities. They started dating during their second year of med school, and have had many adventures together in the years since!

Alex grew up spending summers in Seaside Park, New Jersey, where her family had a purple bungalow on the beach. This place is incredibly special to Alex and the Elder family as it holds generations of family memories. Dylan planned a beautiful proposal on the beach outside of her parent's home, which was a dream come true for Alex. After proposing, Dylan told Alex to turn around only to find their friends and family watching and cheering from the beach house roof deck. They spent a fun-filled beach weekend with their close friends and family celebrating the engagement!

After finishing medical school at Jefferson, Dylan moved to NYC to complete his Orthopedic Surgery residency, while Alex stayed in Philadelphia to complete her Dermatology residency. After four years exploring these two cities throughout residency, they are finally together again, and living in NYC where Alex is completing her Mohs surgery fellowship at Mount Sinai. After the wedding, they will be moving to Columbus, Ohio for one year for Dylan's fellowship. Wish them luck in this new adventure!
