Samantha Elliott

Maid of Honor

What can I say about Samantha Elliott? She’s my sister, my hero, my role model, and most importantly my best friend. Everyone thought we were twins growing up (and some still do), we shared a room all the way through high school and I cried when she moved out – even though she was only moving three minutes down the road. When she went to Campbell she let me hang out with her new college friends, took me to parties and allowed me to live on her couch on the weekends. When I went to undergrad at ECU, Sam came for grad school and we lived together for two years. She only had to bail me out of jail twice, we laughed until we cried and I couldn’t have imagined my life without her. Her and Cam moved to Charlotte 2011 and I followed two years later to no one's surprise. Sorry not sorry Cam!

Matt Clark

Best Man

I met Matt (Aka Sniff) back in elementary school when he lived up the street and we both played on the mighty Mallard Creek U10 State Champion Spartans soccer team. Well...Matt played, I spent most of my time watching on the sideline hoping to see the field. Fast forward nine years to 2008 and Sniff and I are moving into our Freshman dorm at Virginia Tech together. Two best buds starting off college together...what could go wrong? Four months, two very low GPAs and too many cheap bottles of liquor later, and Sniff is transferring to App State. Although we couldn't survive college together, Sniff remains one of my best friends and go-to person whenever I need someone to go see a band that no one has ever heard about.

Chelsie Cranford

Bridesmaid

Literally the first friend I ever had. We went to day care together, middle school, and high school and never left each other’s side. At the age of three I tried to convince myself that I didn’t like mustard because she didn’t like mustard and that’s just ridiculous because mustard is life but I wanted to be just like her. She was that cool at three years old. She has a deep love for travelling, the world, her two Shiba’s and life in general. I’m lucky to have met her at the ripe old age of six months.

Brendan Walsh

Groomsman

Many of my favorite memories include Virginia Tech football games with Brendan. Whether it was a Thursday night in Blacksburg, the Orange Bowl in New Orleans or an ACC Championship in Charlotte - win or lose you could always count on a memorable time with Brendan. As the oldest Walsh brother, Brendan naturally had the responsibility of being the one we all looked up to and he certainly has set a great example for the rest of us. Also as the oldest Walsh brother, Brendan feels the need to try and constantly prove himself as the most athletic. Although we all know this not to be true, after seeing what life is like with three young kids, we figure we just give him the title.

Mimi Syk

Bridesmaid

My Asian nugget. We were lost souls going in to our Freshman year at ECU. Neither of us signed up for dorms and were still homeless a month before school started. We found each other on Facebook, got an apartment and the rest is blurry history. Lots of parties, all-nighters at Joyner, and marathon Sunday fun days later she’s still my soulmate. I'm pretty sure we hold the record for last minute road trips taken up and down the East Coast and ECU's record for shots of tequila taken in the four year college stint. I'm blessed to have met her and blessed to be alive after becoming her friend.

Collin Walsh

Groomsman

Being the only UNC grad in a house full of Hokies hasn’t been the easiest for Collin, but he seems more than content with taking his NCAA basketball championships and leaving football to us. He is also the only Walsh brother smart enough to get into UNC so there is that too. Easily the nicest Walsh brother, Collin has been gracious enough throughout the years to allow my friends to tag along on his college spring break in Charleston and the epic Halloween nights in Chapel Hill. As a CPA nerd, Collin is never mistaken as the most athletic Walsh, but Mr. dependable has never seen a mid-range jumper that he can’t nail.

Janna Hamm

Bridesmaid

Later our freshman year we met the third of the very short three musketeers. Janna is the emo friend we never knew we needed but so glad we have. Our relationship is built on long nights of guitar hero, adopting multiple dogs throughout college and road trips for ECU football games. We've been in more sketchy situations than either of us like to admit but we always had each other's back. Out of the three of us Janna is the responsible one of the group and has had her ish together from the moment we graduated. She can do anything and there’s no stopping her. She’s a boss.

Kevin Walsh

Groomsman

Kevin holds two very important titles: my only younger brother and favorite basketball teammate ever. Sharing a room and bunk bed for most of our life growing up we really didn't have a choice but to be teammates and that certainly translated on the court. One thing I always noticed about Kevin was as much as he hung around and took crap from my friends they never seemed to mind having him around. As we got older and went through high school and got to spend a year at VT together I stopped seeing Kevin as just my younger brother and started seeing him as more of one of my best friends.

Melissa Nichols

Bridesmaid

Melissa and I moved to Charlotte in June 2013 and found each other on Craigslist. Who knew Craigslist wasn't just for used furniture? We stumbled around Charlotte for three years before she moved back to her hometown, Salt Lake City. All the grungy things you're supposed to do in college, we did while pretending to be functioning adults. Sleeping in hostels? Check. Music Festival? Check. Hiking the tallest peak in Utah? Check. We shared a lot of tents, fended off mountain storms, mosquitoes and moose, saved a high school kids life on the trail, and met a lot of great people but she's still on the top of my list of coolest people alive. We laughed, we cried, we pooped in the woods. I love her dearly.

Matt Ritt

Groomsman

I met Matt (AKA Marty) freshman year at Virgina Tech when he decided to give up on the dream of being VT's 4th string quarterback and instead opted to join a fraternity. Matt was known as the 5th Walsh brother for a while when he spent a summer living in my parent's basement while interning in Charlotte. This was the best summer of my brother, Kevin's life as he had someone who was forced to hang out with him who also had the ability to legally purchase alcohol. Although it is tough to get too many words out of Marty, he can't get enough of talking about the glory days at Kellam High of winning Homecoming King and picking off EJ Manual in the State playoffs. Just ask him!

Genny Woosley

Bridesmaid

Genny is a true gypsy. She was the only person I knew in Charlotte when I moved here and I'm glad she's in my corner. Need someone to go with you to a protest? She's there. If someone calls you a choice name at a bar - she's there to hand his a** over to him. Drive to D.C. for the Women's March? She's there and ordered t-shirts. #nastywomen - We don't mind putting one another back in check if we start to stray from the rational line and we all need relationships like that. She is the freest, most genuine and honestly craziest person I know and I wouldn’t have her any other way.

David Kruchko

Groomsman

I crossed paths with Dave around the same time I met Matt while going through the fraternity pledging process. Dave has been my go-to guy for years whenever I need advice on a major decision or when I need to know the latest fire mixtape that has been dropped. I have been fortunate enough to have Dave and his fiancé Amanda in Charlotte the last year while Dave completes his medical school rotations. On a nice weekend you can guarantee to find us and the rest of the biker gang cruising through the streets.

Travis Harris

Officiant

When it came to picking an officiant for our wedding, Travis was a no brainer.  We wanted someone who meant a lot to both of us and Travis is as great of a friend that any couple could share.  It was never about third wheeling with Travis. If we were going to grab drinks, obviously Travis was coming. If we were going to a Beerfest, random concert, or sporting event, we always bought three tickets.  Despite leaving Charlotte to move back to Virginia Beach he is still one of our best friends and we are so excited he agreed to get ordained just for our wedding day.
