This is Alex’s favorite spot to go for a walk in Carbondale!. Yes, it’s a dog park, but it’s so much more…
Yes, there are some great hot springs around here! Avalanche Ranch - this spot is amazing, and just a 15 minute drive from Carbondale, south on Highway 133. You need to make a reservation though, and it may be completely booked. :( But worth asking! http://avalancheranch.com/, (970) 963-2846 Iron Mountain Hot Springs - these hot springs are also gorgeous, and they’re in Glenwood Springs. You also need a reservation for these. https://www.ironmountainhotsprings.com/, (970) 945-4766 Glenwood Hot Springs - these are the biggest ones! There’s a huge pool (naturally heated by hot springs), and some big water slides. Probably the best place to bring the kiddos… And yep, they’re in Glenwood Springs. https://www.hotspringspool.com/, (970) 947-2955
We’ve got lots of great road and mountain biking around here! It’s free and open to the public to stop by. Check out the reflexology path in the gardens! Rio Grande Trail - they turned the old railway tracks into a bike/walking trail. You can take it all the way up to Aspen or down to Glenwood, or you can just wander along it from town. Carbondale Clay Center - again, Carbondale is an art town.
